Launch of ‘Holy Grub’ Cookbook

September 22, 2014

North Balwyn Uniting Church has recently published its very own cookbook – ‘Holy Grub’ Cookbook.  With this book, North Balwyn Uniting Church wants to celebrate the gifts of cooks who have contributed to its community gatherings around tables big and small over many years. Tried and tested recipes have been brought together to provide a wonderful resource for communities in- and outside the Church. There are sweet memories here, and bold experiments, little treasures for intimate gatherings and recipes that can be easily adjusted for larger numbers.  Click here to view the poster, which you can print and display.

Our book is now ready to find a new home in kitchens and onto coffee tables everywhere. It is a unique and thoughtful gift for family and friends, and a great way to promote our church. By purchasing our book, you will also be helping to raise funds for “Good Grub”, the food program in Kew supported by our Church.

‘Holy Grub’ Cookbook will be launched after church on Sunday 28 September, 2014.  Michael Harden, writer of several books, journalist and food critic will launch the book. With some of the tasty goodies from the book on offer during morning tea this should be a great occasion to browse the book, buy and order copies.

To purchase the cookbook, please complete an Order Form or contact the Church office at mail@nbuc.org.au  The price is a very reasonable $20, and $2.50 of every book sold will be donated to “Good Grub”.
