We look forward to welcoming you to NBUC to celebrate Christmas in 2024.  The following services are available:

• ‘Blue’ Christmas – 5pm, 22 December (a gentle service of reflection to acknowledge those we will miss at Christmas)
• Christmas Eve – 5pm, 24 December (with afternoon tea from 4:15pm)
• Christmas Day – 9:30am, 25 December

‘The Song of Songs’

SAT. 26^th AUG at 7PM – Bons Ventos Baroque will present ‘The Song of Songs’, directed by Tim Willis, with guests soprano Eliza Bennetts O’Connor and baritone Julien Robinson. They will journey through diverse lands and languages, including an Italian Hebrew Psalm, a work by English composer Taverner, and favourites from Handel and Bach, including the Brandenburg Concerto number 3.

Tickets $40, Pensioners $20, under 16 free.

Meet the Kooyong Candidate

Our local MP, Mr Josh Frydenberg, has agreed to meet and answer questions at the Leo Baeck Centre for Progressive Judaism, 31-37 Harp Road, East Kew.

NEXT MONDAY, the 16^th of May, at 6.30 pm.

This is the delayed ‘Meet the Candidates’ session from the series we ran in conjunction with the Leo Baeck Centre.

The candidates have been invited to come separately; to speak for half-an-hour; and then to take questions for another half-an-hour.

On the third of these forums on Sunday, May 8, our guest speaker is the Labor Candidate, Dr Peter Lynch.

SUN. 13^th MAR at 5pm-6:30pm – Come along to “Music from Versailles as played for the Court of the Sun King”. Featuring 17^th century pieces played on baroque instruments. Donations will be taken up for a particular cause (more to come).

The plan is that these will be held on Sunday afternoons, with a light lunch starting at 12 noon, and then the forum at 1 pm. The candidates have been invited to come separately; to speak for half-an-hour; and then to take questions for another half-an-hour.

On the first of these on Sunday, February 27, our guest speaker is the Independent Candidate, Dr Monique Ryan.
