North Balwyn Uniting Church Minister
I am a minister in the Uniting Church of Australia who has served congregations in the Netherlands, the UK and Australia. I love to listen to the ancient voice of scripture as it has been handed down to us over the ages and explore what wisdom it may offer for contemporary living. Preparing for worship I submerge myself into the bible every week and share my passion for these texts with my congregation. There always seems to be a bible text relating itself to the world around me as I go about my life. I love living in a multi faith, multicultural society with permeable boundaries and to be challenged to keep growing and changing.

Ms Luise Westwood
Pastoral Care Assistant
I am our congregation’s Pastoral Care Assistant. In partnership with our minister Rev Anneke Oppewal, and together with Church Elders and Pastoral Carers, I provide pastoral and spiritual care and support to elderly members of our congregation.
I am currently studying my 1st unit of Clinical Pastoral Education through the Epworth Community Clinical Pastoral Education Centre in Richmond and am looking forward to commence my second unit at the start of 2017.
My qualifications are aged care based in residential and community settings: Graduate Certificate in Bereavement Counselling Methods and Community Services (Certificate 4) specialising in Diversional Therapy.
It is my passion to care for the elderly with grace, dignity and respect.
